Miravia advice for brands, self-employed professionals and companies
The service may suit you if you are adding Miravia to your business, already sell but cannot explain a difference between orders and receipts, or want to change advisers. Before quoting, we check the state of the accounts, outstanding documents and the scope of the review.
If you also operate on Amazon, Shopify or through a physical store, the aim is to retain each channel’s detail within consistent accounts. We review how you avoid duplicating sales when a marketplace order also appears in your invoicing software, and how you share inventory.
Moraleda Gestión provides digital support to businesses throughout Spain and has an office in Ocaña, Toledo. You can meet the team and view its professional profiles before discussing your case with us.
Miravia sales and bank receipts: two figures that need an explanation
A settlement paid into the bank does not, on its own, describe the period’s sales. To understand it, we match orders, refunds, charges and adjustments to the settlement amount. We also check sales awaiting payment and timing differences between the transaction, report closing date and transfer.
A hypothetical reconciliation example
Imagine a report showing €5,000 in sales, after seller-funded discounts and including any applicable taxes. The same closing report contains €400 in refunds, €350 in commissions and other documented charges, and €150 awaiting settlement:
| Item in the example | Amount |
|---|---|
| Documented sales | €5,000 |
| Refunds | −€400 |
| Commissions and other charges | −€350 |
| Balance awaiting settlement | −€150 |
| Expected receipt, with no other adjustments | €4,100 |
These amounts are invented to explain the process: they do not represent Miravia’s fees or percentages. They are also neither an accounting entry nor a VAT calculation. To keep the accounts, we need to separate taxable amounts, tax amounts, documents and dates; the outstanding €150 requires follow-up until it is settled or adjusted with justification.
Promotions and coupons: who funds each discount
We review campaign terms and order details to distinguish a reduction funded by your business from a Miravia-funded coupon or a shared promotion. We do not assume every discount shown to the buyer reduces your entitlement to payment in the same way.
For example, if a product advertised at €100 has a €10 seller-funded reduction and a €5 platform-funded coupon, the buyer might pay €85. That payment is insufficient to determine the sale, taxable amount or seller settlement: we need to check who bears the €5, how it is documented and whether there is a subsequent adjustment. This is a hypothetical scenario, rather than a current commercial term.
To review a campaign, we need its period, affected orders, allocation of the discount and supporting documents for the adjustment. This allows us to explain its effect on the accounts without recording the same promotion twice.
What the agreed tax and accounting service includes
-
Commissions, logistics, advertising and returns
We identify invoices and supporting documents for commissions, transport, advertising and other services relating to your account. We check which charges are deducted from the settlement and which you pay separately to avoid duplication. Logistics terms and fees are verified against the documentation applicable to your operations.
For a return, we distinguish the refund to the buyer, the return of the goods, their condition and associated charges or credits. The movement of money and recovery of the product can occur on different dates; we need both to review sales and inventory.
-
Sales invoices, credit notes and corrections
We review the invoicing process, who issues invoices and which information your business retains. Settlement reports help with reconciliation, but we also need to check transaction and expense documentation.
A return or subsequent discount may require a correction to the invoice and VAT. We analyse the circumstances and applicable procedure using supporting documents; AEAT explains when output VAT must be corrected.
-
VAT and obligations based on your activity
Before preparing the returns covered by the engagement, we review the account holder, products, shipment origins and destinations and stock locations. Selling on Miravia does not, by itself, determine your tax regime or mean that you have to use OSS.
If there are sales to consumers in other EU countries or goods stored outside Spain, we assess the obligations arising from those operations and define any additional work. AEAT’s one-stop shop information provides a reference for examining potentially relevant circumstances.
-
Purchases and inventory across channels
We request supplier invoices and inventory movements to connect purchases, sales, returns and adjustments. If the same goods are sold through several channels, we need a shared approach that allows stock to be reviewed without attributing the same order to two platforms.
The documentation we need from Seller Center
We agree which information you can obtain from Seller Center and which your team or invoicing system must provide. Report availability and names may vary; we check the actual documents in your account before setting the delivery process.
| Information we request, subject to availability | How we use it |
|---|---|
| Orders and identifiers, dates, amounts and status | Connect transactions to the accounting period |
| Settlements, charges, credits and adjustments | Reconstruct the amount receivable |
| Promotion terms and details | Identify who funds each discount |
| Returns and refunds | Connect the order, correction and goods |
| Sales and service invoices | Review documentary support, taxable amounts and tax amounts |
| Bank statements and outstanding balances | Reconcile transfers and differences |
| Business purchases and inventory | Review stock and consistency across channels |
If a report is missing, we identify the outstanding information and its effect on closing the accounts. We do not assume an automatic integration or a particular export is available.
How we organise the service
- 1
Review your operations
we examine the selling entity, products, warehouses, channels and outstanding periods.
- 2
Check the sources
we review a sample of reports, invoices and movements to establish what is needed.
- 3
Agree the scope and schedule
we identify tasks, documentation, responsibilities and delivery dates.
- 4
Prepare the agreed closing work
we connect transactions and receipts and explain which differences still require supporting evidence.
A quote for Miravia accounting and tax services
Fees depend on document volume, channels, your starting position and tax complexity. The proposal distinguishes periodic work from reconstruction of previous financial years or exceptional engagements.
We specify whether the engagement covers accounting, preparation and filing of returns, settlement reviews or a specific need. Catalogue administration, advertisements, orders and commercial complaints are outside the tax service described on this page.
