Two activities, one coordinated tax review
-
TikTok Shop accounting for sellers
If you run a store, we review orders, returns, adjustments, settlements and documented expenses. We agree how to connect those records with bank transactions, supplier invoices and inventory. If you also sell on other platforms, we retain the detail for each channel within the business accounts.
Our eCommerce accounting service suits your activity when you need to coordinate product sales, purchases and inventory. To assess international operations, tell us where you hold stock and which countries you sell to.
-
Tax advice for TikTokers and creators
If your income comes from content, sponsorships, affiliate activity or other programmes, we identify the income category, payer and documents for each relationship. The information needed varies with the programme and your account terms; we do not treat every receipt as a product sale.
In TikTok Shop affiliate activity, the seller whose products you promote and the platform handling payment play different roles. The TikTok Shop financial documentation for Spain places the affiliate commercial relationship between seller and creator. We therefore check the recipient of the service as well as the name appearing in the bank account. If you also monetise videos through another channel, we can coordinate this with our YouTube tax advisory service.
What we review in your income and expenses
-
Sales, commissions and settlements
The amount paid may include transactions and adjustments from different dates. We review the breakdown and supporting documents to explain what was sold, what was returned and which costs belong to the business.
Hypothetical example, without a tax calculation: a settlement shows €1,200 in sales, €100 in refunds and €80 in charges, and the bank receives €1,020. That payment alone does not explain sales or profit. Orders, the makeup of the charges and invoices must be identified; whether the refund belongs to the same period must also be checked. This is a reconciliation example, neither a client case nor a TikTok settlement timetable.
-
Affiliate activity and collaborations
We distinguish commissions received for promoting products from commissions paid to creators. We request agreements, settlements and the available invoices or invoicing documents to review who each transaction relates to.
If you receive affiliate income, we need commission details by seller and the documents issued on your behalf. If you pay affiliates through your store, we need supporting documents for that expense, separate from platform charges. A payment receipt and an invoice are not interchangeable.
-
Affiliate invoices and third-party invoicing
TikTok publishes an invoicing workflow through Fonoa for affiliate creators in Spain, subject to VAT registration and authorisation. We check which documents have been generated, which transactions they cover and whether periods are missing. You can consult the official creator guide to receipts and invoices.
For sellers, TikTok distinguishes invoices from eligible creators from receipts available when the conditions are not met. Its affiliate commission invoice guide explains where to download them. Account documentation allows each situation to be checked; this feature does not mean all your income has been invoiced.
The Spanish Tax Agency explains invoicing by the recipient or third parties: responsibility for the obligation remains with the professional carrying out the transaction. We review authorisations and copies to avoid omissions or issuing a second invoice for the same transaction.
-
Expenses and consideration
We review production services, software, advertising, purchases and other documented items. If a collaboration includes products or other benefits, we need to know its terms to analyse the corresponding treatment.
-
Registrations and tax obligations
We check your structure, residence, activity type and payers before specifying returns and registrations. Having a TikTok or TikTok Shop account does not replace that review.
The Spanish Tax Agency states that tax census registration must be filed before starting the activity or transactions. We review Social Security status separately from the applicable VAT, personal income tax (IRPF) or corporate income tax obligations. Through our tax advisory service, we also define the scope of international transactions and any outstanding previous periods.
Documentation according to your TikTok activity
| Activity | Documents we review | What we need to distinguish |
|---|---|---|
| You sell on TikTok Shop | Orders, settlements, expenses and bank records | Sales, returns and receipts |
| You receive affiliate income | Terms, commissions and invoicing | Payer, service and adjustments |
| You pay affiliate commissions | Breakdown by creator, available invoices and receipts | Affiliate expenses versus TikTok charges |
| You work with brands | Agreements, invoices and consideration | Collaborations and their documentation |
| You combine TikTok with other channels | Reports by platform and category | Different income sources and possible duplication |
To begin, prepare the latest complete period available: original exports, invoices, contracts and bank statements. Flag any missing documents. You do not need to convert everything into a spreadsheet before explaining your circumstances.
How we start working with you
- 1
Identify your income
store, affiliate activity, brands and other programmes.
- 2
Review documents
we check what information your account provides and what you need to complete.
- 3
Agree the workflow
we set submission arrangements, responsibilities and communication.
- 4
Provide ongoing support
we prepare the agreed tax and accounting work and review changes to your activity.
The proposal will specify service outputs: a list of income sources and outstanding documents, the approach to organising sales and commissions, and a timetable for submissions and included returns. Under the agreed ongoing service, we will decide how to communicate differences between settlements, invoices and bank records that need clarification.
A quote for your TikTok activity
Fees depend on documents, income sources and international operations. The proposal will state what ongoing support includes and which enquiries or reviews require an additional engagement.
To prepare it, tell us whether you are a sole trader or company, how many orders or documents you handle, which countries are involved and whether you need earlier months reviewed. This allows you to assess the scope before engaging us.
Content production, finding brands, campaign management and store administration are separate from the tax and accounting service.
